The Rapid is Scarpa's run-approach hybrid shoe designed to transition seamlessly between skipping over obstacles on the trail and scrambling towards or up the crag. The Scarpa Rapid's shape is akin to that of a trail running shoe; however, a TPU arch insert for torsion control, a DPS insert in the forefoot, and an edging zone under the big toe enhances the Rapid's stability on loose moraine field as well as edging capability when things get more vertical. The Scarpa Rapid is the perfect lightweight alternative to approach shoes and hiking boots for when you want to move as fast as possible on mixed mountain terrain.
