Red Chili Mystix

The Red Chili Mystix is a high end bouldering and climbing shoe with a powerful downturn, suited to steep and extremely overhanging routes in the climbing gym and crag. Developed in collaboration with Red Chili athletes the Mystix is aggressive and pointed, for extremely precise foot placements and pull on the tiniest footholds. The last suits lower volume feet best with an asymmetrical (“banana”) last that generates loads of power on the steep stuff. The forefoot combines stability for edging with flexibility on angled slopers through a 2-zone midsole in combination with an especially soft 3.5 mm thick Vibram XS-Grip-Sole for extreme sensitivity when edging and hooking.

Leather in the toebox allows the shoe to adapt and mould to the shape of your toes for optimal fit while the breathable tongue made from fine, elastic knitted fabric keeps the foot cool. The RC Dual Tension Slingshot, an anatomically shaped band to pull the heel into the shoe givesdurable pre-tensioning and supports the foot. Made from two rubber mixtures, the moulded red rubber insert is made from a harder compound that the surrounding softer black rubber so that the black rubber adapts to your foot shape while the red rubber provides a durable and a stable fit around the Achilles. The crossed Velcro strap closure system allows the shoe to be adjusted with one quick pull, so they can be put on and taken off quickly with consistent tensioning. Finally a large toe patch and the raised rubber at the heel gives incredibly stable hooking.
