The Patagonia R1 Air Full-Zip Hoody is a midlayer that you will never need/ want to take off. Just the right balance between warmth and breathabilty you can wear it snow shoeing, breaking trail, ski touring, climbing or belaying. Probably the most comfortable fleece ever made, the R1 Air hoody is uber breathable, stretchy, and wicking so you never feel icky, too hot or cold. Built on Patagonia's classic R1 Hoody, the R1 Air is just as technical but has a more casual feel, with a cozy rather than hard outer, so that it looks just at home in a mountain hut as a coffee house. And because the fabric wicks and dries quickly and is treated with HeiQ® Fresh durable odor control, you can go beween the two without worrying about how you look or smell.

Patagonia have used 100% recycled polyester hollow-core yarns, woven in a zigzag pattern to trap warm air while shedding excess heat, and making this midlayer light as air. The cut is athletic, fitting comfortably under outer layers and a harness, and the hood fits under a helmet without any bulk. The hem and cuffs are made from stretchy and quick-drying polyester that trap warm air yet push up easily to dump heat quickly. The jacket features three pockets, a chest zipper pocket and two zip-up hand-warming pockets, a fully opening central zip that seals in warmth, pulling the neck high with a chafe free zip guard at the chin.
