The Patagonia Micro Puff Hoody introduces a new synthetic insulation called PlumaFill to the market, which Patagonia says 'offers the versatility of synthetic without compromising the benefits and feel of down'. A bold claim, but it is backed up by the years of R&D Patagonia has put into producing PlumaFill, and reviewers all seem to agree that in terms of warmth-to-weight, packability, and weather-resistance, it does live up to the hype. The ultralight nylon ripstop Pertex Quantum® shell isn't as durable as some, but if you're looking for the lightest, most packable jacket that provides the warmth of down with the warm-when-wet performance of synthetic, the Micro Puff Hoody is about as light as you can go without wearing nothing at all. Now made with recycled fishing nets!
