Ocun's story begins in 1988 when Pavel Hendrych started crafting harnesses at home using his grandmother's sewing machine and materials like decommissioned brake parachutes from the Czechoslovak Air Force. A few years later, Pavel decided to focus entirely on his growing passion, quitting his day job to pursue it full-time. Since then, the Ocun range has rapidly expanded, now including slings, quickdraws, boulder pads, rock shoes, and various accessories. By 2015, Ocun was not only producing its own products but also manufacturing soft goods for other renowned climbing brands.
