The DMM Mantis is essentially a Pivot without the pivot. It can be used with single or half ropes where a direct belay is not needed. It uses the same internal geometry as the Pivot with sculpted rope grooves for increased friction. The back of the device has enough lift off to provide snag-free paying out.
