How I choose the correct size?
All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.
Choose from the options below to find your size in the Boreal Lynx
Climbing Shoe
OR
Street Shoe
This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.
The Boreal Lynx sits in the company's range of high performance climbing shoes.
The Lynx has a stiff midsole which will probably give it the 'edge' (see what i did there) in certain situations. Due to this it has become a shoe favoured for limestone or edging routes, in fact Ben Moons ascent of Rainshadow (9a) was done in a pair. The stiffness also allows you to use them for longer periods without fatigue in your feet so they are also great for long multi-pitches. They use the super sticky Zenith rubber. For an insight into just how sticky this stuff is click on the video below this description.
Another nice feature is the new V2 Rand. Boreal have introduced a rubber strip between the upper heel and midsole which pulls the heel inwards resulting in a snugger fit.
The Lynx is a precise shoe with great versatility on both sport and trad climbs.
