The Grivel Belay Master is a lightweight belay plate designed to reduce friction and thus wear on your ropes. Utilising holes on either side of the plate, the Grivel Belay Master not only reduces weight but also better disperses heat by increasing airflow, thereby reducing the wear on your rope when lowering off a leader or abseiling. Other features include grooved teeth to increase the braking ability of the rope when catching a fall and reduce the amount of force you need to exert to arrest the leader.
