The Gripit uses a flat last and soft sole that are non-aggressive to allow for a natural, comfortable, and non-painful foot position. No-Edge® Technology, however, unique to La Sportiva, makes the shoe highly sensitive so that kids can actually feel the rock, promoting sensory development to progress as a better, more adaptable climber. It also distributes the foot's pressure more uniformly across the shoe, which combined with the Zero-Press™ last removes harmful pressure points that could adversely affect a child's growing foot, creating problems later in their climbing career. Other features include a Fast Lacing System® which is easy to use - even for kids - with a velcro tab just needing to be pulled to both tighten the laces of the shoe as well as the elastic band of the heel cup.
